II. Place in Italy

The double of the Livewire Team, Balázs Bertus and Tibor Lovász at the 37th Rally del Casentino 2017 race in Italy, ended up in a superb, man-made and uncompromising nine-speed clash at the end of category A7 category 2.

Hi Balazs! Tell me, what was the Italian competition?

Hi! Where do I start? The race was simply beautiful. The organization itself was excellent. They offered us cold fruits and sandwiches and I could still order them. The trails were hard, the itinerary was very good.

How was your category?

We could go with legendary cars in a field, thinking of Williams Clio and Ragnotti. We were continually able to improve our time result, so we needed to do it after the 1st fastest mistake, say, this is the second stage. In the last part of the competition, we were in the first place when the devil’s technique was discovered. The clutch cylinder tube broke, but fortunately, we still had enough of our effort in 2nd place.

Describe the challenge in a few words.

Beautiful, very serious, hard, professional and not least a huge teamwork! Thanks Tibi for professional navigation! Máté Kerekes, Balázs Vizelli for the great service! Special thanks to our team leader since he was paying attention to every small detail and picking up the gloves at the service, so in order to reach the 2nd place, three components were needed. BMW, teamwork in service and consistency in the car!
